He has improved on that. Pruitt said in one of his interviews that they told him where he needed to improve his game and one of the places was getting in better shape. Pruitt said Bailey had dropped about 20 pounds and his forty time had gone from a 5.2 to a 4.8.

Obvious to you because that’s your narrative. Speaking of “straw man” where did I say EQUAL? Never did is the answer you’re struggling with. I was impressed with the quality and accuracy of the throws. I’m ok with you not being of the same mind just don’t expect an olè when you declare your opinion a fact...it AIN’T.

So, exactly what did I say that wasn't a fact? I said the game was a mismatch. Is that incorrect? They were equally matched? No they were not. Did I say he didn't make good throws? No, I did not. Did I say he played an unimpressive game? No, I didn't. All I said was that it's hard to tell how good he is against a team that doesn't offer great competition. That's not a put down of his abilities! Any time two teams are playing and one of them scored every time they get the ball and they score forty plus in a half, that's a mismatch. Doesn't mean the winning players aren't good but they clearly weren't challenged. I just believe you can tell more about a player's ability when he's facing opposition that is better than what he faced last night. I didn't realize it was controversial to think that.

You’re making it out like it was an untalented team they boatraced which falls in line with the services eggheads and rival fans who downplay Bailey’s performances because he has talented targets. It’s just weird insistence and hill to die on...for a fan. Not that I care, but which performance this season meets your standard...if there is any?

This is just ridiculous. You are just way too sensitive on this. As far as them playing an untalented team, that team was pitiful compared to Marietta and probably the last two or three teams Marietta played in the playoffs. I never said he hadn't played and beaten great competition this year, I simply said the team they played last night wasn't good competition. That has nothing to do with Bailey's ability. I absolutely believe there are several teams in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and, for that matter, most southern states, that would have beaten that team. You keep acting like I said the guy can't play and that's just not the case but you and I will never agree that the team Marietta played last night is great by southern high school standards.

So no examples? And once again, I’m not calling them great...but they’re loaded with talent and won their state championship. Nowhere near the empty field that you portray.

What do you mean no examples? I said they played better competition the last two or three games of the playoffs they just won in Georgia. That would be examples of teams I think are better than last night's team.

I seen a comparison of the teams on Twitter this morning of the Power 5 prospects on each team. The team they played had 4-5 committed to P-5 schools. Marietta had more than double. I’m sure that’s all he’s referring to as the talent difference as a team was obvious.

Thank you! My recognizing the obvious talent difference was not a criticism of Bailey. It was simply stating the obvious.

It’s been that way all year. That’s why I’m pumping the breaks. No one knows how his INDIVIDUAL talent will translate once the talent level across the board evens like it will in the SEC.

Counting the uncommitted 5 star junior? If you’re going to do your passive aggressive act to portray Bailey as less impressive to buck up your horse, Maurer you should know it’s an exercise in futility. That squad last night is as talented or more so than a majority that bested Maurer during his high school career.

I gotta disagree. Maurer played Edgewater every year his entire career. Edgewater gave Merietta all they could handle this year and Bailey certainly didn’t throw for over 400 yards against them. But this isn’t about Maurer. It’s about you attacking that man the same way you have others over anything can be portrayed as negative regarding Bailey. I told you before that you are good at subtly protecting Bailey while not having the same energy for anyone else. You told me I was FOS and I let it be but now you’re doing it again. The dude didn’t say, at any time, that Bailey wasn’t everything people expect. He said the competition was weak in comparison and that’s been the case every single week. It’s not a shot at Bailey himself to state the obvious.
