Rawane Ndiaye Reportedly commits

I don't know exactly how I said it but we have had many discussions about his recruiting sucking and I didn't understand a lot of his signees and that we needed more size and a pg or two.

You're lack of knowledge of the recruiting game is glaringly obvious. Do you think you can just go to the All-American game and pick up "a pg or two"? No, big recruits want alot of playing time (which they will not get playing behind Maymon and Stokes) and a successful program (which we have not been in the past few years. You people are delusional if you think 5 stars and 7 footers are lining up to come to Tennessee this late in the recruiting trail, this guy was a good pickup. Since i'm assuming you're just a football fan that happened to wander in here i'll give you an apt comparison, Ndiaye is to basketball as Jabo Lee was to football. You're too late on all the big guys, so you take what you can get and pick up a mediocre guy that will surely come to your program.

The Jabo Lee thing is not the right comparison. Lee was fairly highly recruited early in the summer but grade concerns and an injury had folks backing off. In the summer he was rated the top RB in South Carolina. He could run a 4.4.

This is what happens when u don't read all the pages under a topic and take what is said out of context......u make yourself look like a jacka**. I wasn't saying what we should be doing in April of spring signing day but having convo with BTO about our recruiting all along....we hadn't really addressed our PG position until this yr and still haven't really addressed our big man depth. I'm not expecting him to get all five stars but to be winning battles against other high major teams..... As of right now we have two recruits that avg less than three ppg......that is unacceptable.

As for the comparison to Jabo Lee.....he is head and shoulders above this guy as a prospect.

Given Reese's stats coming out of HS, I didn't think he would see the court at all outside of scrap minutes last season. Especially after the addition of Edwards. When Reese was getting some minutes, his defense needs a good bit of work, but he shot the ball fairly well and did some nice things. More than I expected since I didn't expect him to play outside of mop-up minutes 3-5 times

This looks poor and honestly won't help us much more than a decent preferred walk-on would. JMO. Not sure why this guy would ever be a take.

He's a PF for the class of 13. Why are you guys freaked out? Stokes is a PF and will probably go to the NBA next year. I think Cuonzo would know if someone is leaving and it doesn't mean Stokes - it could be anyone.

Not what I said, he was saying something we should've been doing and sounded very adamant about it, so I figured it was something he had addressed before.

I haven't seen anyone really saying within the last 2-3 months that we should be trying to add a big, now all of a sudden everyone is saying we should've been adding a big.

I have been saying it since the beginning of this year.

Stupid by Martin. He knew the risks of Stokes leaving and Maymon not recovering. This guy is apparently a 3 year player. And why is Yemi transferring? Just completely botched by CCM.

It's the VN way

We can't all blindly follow.

I tried that with Dooley and ended up heart broken year after year.

I'm starting to expect that we'll suck and Martin will be gone after next year. So if we actually win a tournament game next season, I'll crap my pants rather than be disappointed like I have been the past two years.

2 year player.

CCM just tweeted a picture of a practice/workout and didn't see Stokes in the huddle. Tfwiw.

I miss the glory days of college basketball back before every kid with a lot of hype and a decent season though they were the next NBA superstar.

Disappointed in this. Nothing against the kid, but if you average two points against weak competition what do you expect to get in the SEC? Seems like a waste of a scholarship when our roster already has too many marginal guys.
