Last year he killed us with his legs. What is the possibility of us spying him all game, or maybe on obvious passing downs? Who would we use as the spy? I'm more worried about him extending plays with his legs vs his throwing proficiency. Discuss.

I think of it we’re just him running last year, it would have been ok. The problem is he picked us apart in the air too. Let him run as long as you don’t let him have time to pick apart the second day. I like the chances of containing him on the ground as ai trust our slime and linebackers more than I trust our secondary.

So far, it doesn’t appears that UT’s defensive staff take much time in preparing for a particular opponent or their tendencies. They seem to be pretty headstrong in “this is our set, and this is what we do every week.” I believe it to be this way because they just don’t have the talent or experience outside of a couple of players. They still have to spend a majority of the time teaching fundamentals and mechanics. Unfortunately though, it doesn’t appear to be working.

We only had one sack and he only had 16 yards rushing (I assume that’s minus the sack).

He definitely did not kill us with his legs last year.

You may be confused because they ran a wildcat package with another player (can't remember who) that absolutely gashed us.

Rattlers only running he did was when the pocket collapsed and he escaped. Normally that would be a good thing, except the concept of him throwing the ball after rolling out completely blew our secondary's mind.

Based on our game with him last year and what I have seen of him this year, I'm pretty worried about his throwing proficiency as well.

That’s a pretty bold statement this early in the season.

I watched to NC v SC and it looks like he lives off the bubble screen. One step drop and threw the bubble screen about 20 times.
They were getting so much pressure it was hard for him to have time to throw anything down the field. He's got a live arm though and can make every throw given sufficient protection. We gotta get pressure.

Not so bold. We’re 4 games in and had a conference opponent. You think they are hiding something or holding back? They weren’t ready for Florida’s motion, even though they ran the same stuff against Utah. They struggled against APSU’s screen game and quick hitters, which is their game. These guys can’t tackle, let alone prep something special for a mobile quarterback. If you try and put a spy on him I can almost guarantee that someone will be wide open.

It’s the Jimmy’s and Joe’s.

You’re right. I shouldn’t have called it “bold”. Ignorant would have been better.

You're talking too much reality for some here to understand. Those dark mode jerseys will fix all that though. So don't worry.

Everything Rattler can do is a problem for this defense.
