Damn. Haven't had it in sooooooooooo long.

A guy that works for me lives up in Blaine and raises a large garden is suppose to bring me a mess of lettuce tomorrow and I have green onions..sooo stop by and I'll feed you a country dinner ..

Mom always kilt her lettuce with bacon grease but with my bad heart I use olive oil ...not as good but healthier

Yeah, bacon grease was the go to. Mom use to always keep the leftover grease in a can on the stove.

On another note, read an article recently that stated 70 percent of Americans are on at least one prescription drug, and more than half receive at least two prescriptions.

As a little kid me and my cousin found a few crates of expired chocolate milk my grandpa got from the school to give his pigs.

30 years after the fact I still cringe thinking of the taste.

I stopped at a little store in Noble, Georgia and bought a Yahoo. (I realize that isn't real chocolate milk) I drove down the highway, it was SOOO hot, and took a big swig of the Yahoo! It was bad. Like BAD! I spit it out the window. Window was up. :( frowney face. True story.

Ran into some people today I hadn't seen in awhile. They asked me how I had lost so much weight. I said liver failure.

Is it wrong I found the looks on their faces amusing?

And yes, I explained to them the situation afterwards, but I couldn't pass up the shock effect.

FTR, I've lost almost 50lbs in the past 7 weeks. Most of it was water weight where I just didn't realize my body was retaining so much liquid. Normally, when I get sick, unless I have a fever, I just push through it. Gonna have to start paying more attention to my health.

Currently on six.

4 for me. Amazing that my Mom died just short of her 95th birthday and never was prescribed any drug for anything other than the one that was prescribed when she was over 92 to try to slow down the Alzheimer's. She had no health problems in any area.

Tear up leaf lettuce, wilt it with bacon grease, add chopped green onions.

My mom says chemo day is "Girls day out" cause she loves her chemo nurses. It's all in the attitude and how you look at things, imo.

I agree. I can understand how those not going through it themselves could see it as morbid, but if you're going through it, what are you gonna do? It doesn't help to get down about it because there's nothing you can do to change it other than to continue what you're doing, so I deal with it by making light of it. Getting depressed isn't going to get me through it, but getting a laugh gives me a smile.

There's an old joke I don't fully remember but the gist is a smile gets you a lot further because it's an s with a mile behind it.

Exactly. It is what is, so you do what you do.
