You, sir, are an idiot - YouTubeSquirrel got a special feeling in his pants when he saw them kiss evidently.
The media made it a big deal cause it was two guys. They are boyfriends. They kissed.
What about the guy that proposed marriage to his girlfriend...and got drafted later that day?? That is news worthy, that is life changing for both of those young people. Why wasn't that fairytale a bigger story?? (And please don't make a fairy joke about Sam.)

You know the answer. Media push. They push the buttons that evoke reactions. They don't care about the issue, just looking for the reactions to generate more business. It's headline journalism 2014.
I miss 6pm when I was a little girl and they were broadcasting news (never thought I'd say that). By real news journalists. Now it's just a bunch of National Enquirer people who can't spell, use good grammar, or form an original thought as they report "crap". It sure isn't "news".
it's been building for the past 20 years. We're now seeing what it's evolved into. I haven't watched the news in a long time and have a difficult time reading it online now. Like you, i miss the days when they actually published or broadcast the news/facts rather than an opinionated piece that is difficult, at best, to read or understand.

I haven't watched the news in years either, it only focuses on the negative. Honestly it just breeds fear and violence IMO They generally only show the evil in society, and make people worried that something bad is going to happen to them. I personally don't want my outlook on the world influenced by nonsense.
