Jordan at 50 could still be a productive NBA player. The problem is, he'd still expect to be the superstar he was, and so would the fans. He doesn't have superstar hops anymore, but he'd still be the best off the bench player in the NBA.
But why tarnish your legacy to be a 6th man?
Agreed. He may not have the hops, but he never hurt his knees, so I'm sure he can still get up.
He's so competitive, I don't think he'd look at it that way. Heck, suiting up at 50 would add to his legacy IMO. He's accomplished everything else in the league, why not show you can still hang with guys 25 years younger than you? Later on he may regret it tough.
It would add only if he came in as a legit scoring option. Otherwise, there is no reason.
