Dude, you don't need any water at all. Just put the damn thing in there with the veggies and turn the thing on high. The meat will make more juice than you will ever need.
true, but I use the water to give the veggies a head start.
That makes sense. I started putting the roast in one of those cooking bags in the oven with the veggies. Takes about 1/3 of the time, the meat isn't waterlogged in the juices and is just as tender as the crocker. Try it out.
Beef broth or a lil soy sauce for flavor. imo not behr jmo
