He said I'll love you 'til I die
She told him you'll forget in time
As the years went slowly by
She still preyed upon his mind.

He stopped loving her today.

RIP Possum

Out of here, the boss just told us to go and enjoy the weekend.

Catch you Zoners later.

Don't forget, I will be keeping my eye on you. Except for Gonzo, that dude is huge.

I want and seen him in concert a few years ago. You could tell he was ready for that rocking chair. You could tell they had slowed the music down a few beats on his faster songs. Still a good show. He has always been one of my favorites. He could do so much with his voice.

Sorry, I think you're wrong though. Everyone wants to blame the teachers. Admin and parents. Admin/govt will not let the teachers do their job. They are not allowed to stray for the most part. They are told what to teach and how to teach it. It's not always the case, but so many times, parents don't hold their kid accountable, and want to blame the teacher. Sometimes little johnny needs to tighten his ass up and work a little harder. Sorry for my rant, but my wife is a teacher. I know how hard she works and how much she loves her job/kids. She's being told what to do from both ends, by people who don't know what they are talking about. The only reason she still does it is for the kids and her passion to help as many as she can.

Glad you said it. I didn't want to unleash RV on them.:eek:lol:

More than enough blame to go around. Not all teachers are bad teachers, but some teachers are bad teachers and give bad names to the rest. I had both growing up. It's not hard for students to see a bad teacher for what they are. Maybe said teachers were broken by the system and apathy set in, but they do exist. On the flip side, I also had some very great teachers.

The govt/admin is just simply screwed up. Personally, I question if they have any interest in teaching free thought or if they're just trying to brainwash the next generation into a certain mindset. Yeah, sounds like a conspiracy theory, but thinking outside the box hasn't been encouraged for some time.

Parents need to take a more active role in their kids' education, but in the current economy, it's become harder to do so IMO. When both parents have to work to support the household, the kids suffer the most.

The teachers lost their advantage when they lost corporal punishment. The inmates now run the prison. It is not the states/gov responsibility to educate your child. It is your responsibility. Quit passing the buck and having kids you don't want to raise. (kinda trolling a bit here)

middle son is trying to dodge school because of the TCAP testing that starts today. I'd like to go meet with the admin and ask them why they don't have a better plan to not freak these kids out. You don't help prep a 10 yr old by making him nervous about 5 days of testing. You prep them and build confidence. He makes good grades, but is a nervous wreck.

I saw someone on FB complaining about this very thing. His kid is highly nervous almost to the point of it being unhealthy.

Trolling or not, can't say you're wrong on some of that.

I had great teachers/instructors/professors. Grade A all around. Well, there was this one.........

My father was my high school principal. My mother was an art teacher in middle school. All my cousins and aunts and such were teachers. I strove hard to stay out of that profession.
