32, that wasn't me shooting last night.


I did see you guys playing bball, but I didn't stop by. Had to get the boys home, "must get a full night of sleep for TCAP testing".

Actually 3 teachers are in my family. My Aunt is a special ed teacher in Jawja, the majority of her students have physical and mental obstacles that effect/affect their everyday life.


My point about the teachers relates to the stressing out the kids. My son scored in the 98 and 99th percentile in every subject on his TCAP's last year. His teacher knows he is a smart kid, so why bother getting your entire class worked up in a frenzy, when you could work on focusing on the students that need more help?

we have some terrible teachers around here. 70 percent of my boys math class is failing. He had never made below a C before he got stuck in her class. He has had 2 F's so far this year.

Sorry, I think you're wrong though. Everyone wants to blame the teachers. Admin and parents. Admin/govt will not let the teachers do their job. They are not allowed to stray for the most part. They are told what to teach and how to teach it. It's not always the case, but so many times, parents don't hold their kid accountable, and want to blame the teacher. Sometimes little johnny needs to tighten his ass up and work a little harder. Sorry for my rant, but my wife is a teacher. I know how hard she works and how much she loves her job/kids. She's being told what to do from both ends, by people who don't know what they are talking about. The only reason she still does it is for the kids and her passion to help as many as she can.

I agree with jhen. While some teachers do work hard and are hampered by the system, there are a few that just teach to the test to get by. I know a few I had were just doing the bare minimum.

jhen, I know your wife is a teacher and was curious to see if you would respond, thanks. I totally agree admin plays the biggest part then parents that don't give a shizz.

I see all sides of it and in some cases, you are right. I don't think there is a perfect answer to fix the system. You know how it is when your wife comes into play you start to play defense. I wasn't attacking, I promise.:hi:

I'd like to be a teacher and teach government in high school because people are idiots and don't know how it works, but what's holding me back is having to teach to a test. I talked to a buddy of mine who's a teacher/coach and he said he can't stand the teaching aspect for that reason.

My daughter has this on her ipod. Plays it every Friday. She says she wishes the they had a song for "Finally Monday". She ain't right...

They need to remind that to everybody at Greenback HS. Just opened up another investigation. I think that is the 3rd in the last 18 months.

Also, had a creepy English teacher in high school that was nailing one of the girls on the dance team. She was a 4-5*. Nobody would have have ever guessed those 2.
