I went to a gas station, Winn Dixie, and a bar in the last hour. Was called "boss" twice and " papi"! Wtf is this standard greeting these days?

The cashier at my local WalMart gas station calls me boss. That's probably why he works there.

I can't say I have even an inkling of respect for her. So glad she is not in charge of anything related to the welfare of the citizens of the U.S. Things would be infinitely worse than what they are now, imo.
