My sister has one and she'll drag the mattress out and make a pallet on the floor for chilling with the kids and watching movies

I looked it up apparently it's a barred owl. I like all owls and this one doesn't always make the particular scream but when it does he's so close it's spooky as hell cause it comes from out of nowhere.

they can definately frighten you at night if you arent expecting it. This one started hooting at 3 am this morning. Scared the hell out of me.

I was outside late one night in my front yarf and thought I heard the wind and the next thing I know a massive horned owl that lives right behind my house came cruising right across the top of my roof. He cast a shadow in the moonlight taller than me and was pretty low. I ducked out of pure instinct like I was being strafed. I'd hate to be a rodent at night around that beast.

Don't have any owls around here but do have some doves that I carry on conversations with from time to time.
