True which is why Carmax is successful. They will be slightly above fair market value but its an easy buying process. People are willing to pay a bit extra for the convenience.

Being a sales guy, I know the pricing strategies and psychological tricks we use. I don't mind arguing for an hour especially when I know is going to save me thousands of dollars. Car salesman hate me.

Dood. I used to be in Health club sales. Slimiest sales people there are. I know all the mind games and how to close all the doors to their exceptions. The only obstacle a salesman cannot overcome is money and most can get a signature anyway cause the person wants to leave at that point. However most of those sales are canceled after the fact.

Cars are overrated. I'll stick with my beat up, pos pickup truck that I don't have to worry if the hounddogs crawl all over and ride to the dump with me.

97 Chevy Pickup. 285,000 miles on it. I dont dare take it on the highway, but it gets me and Cheech to his school every morning and then into work.

Love that truck.

I couldn't sell mine if I wanted to. RV loves it and she drives it to work. We finally just sold her old Taurus because she never drove it. I have a company vehicle at this point, so we don't need another car.

I gave mine to my kid when she turned 16 (3 years ago) She gave it back to me when she went to college. Now she drives it during the summers when Im on the bike, but she has no desire to drive while at school. So it works out perfectly.

Probably going to have to get something else soon, looking at a 69 Chevy 3/4ton. I love old trucks.

My brother in TN has my Dad's old 62 Chevy with 3 on the tree. I fell out of that truck when I was a kid and lost my cowboy boot. :birgits_giggle:

I put my dads 63 into neutral when I was about 3, rolled it out of the drive and into the neighbors rebuilt 57 chevy. Never heard the end of that one. (well, the neighbor died a few years ago, I guess that was the end of it!)

the falling out of the moving vehicle doesn't solicit a response, but 3 on the tree does? lulz.

Sucks tri, glad you are okay.

Thanks. Here is the pix.

Dad asked me to start the car when I was 12. Forgot to put it in neutral. Started it and hit the gas as I was letting out the clutch. Hit the brick garage wall.

losing the cowboy boot was the part that got me.

Dad was scared shatless. He said "don't say anything and let me tell your Mother." Well we walked in the front door and I yell out Hey Mom guess what? Dad did a face palm. hahahaha:eek:lol:
