I only worry when sharkbite reports go up. Then I get a little intimidated. But as long as there's no spike in shark activity you should be perfectly fine. Don't let fear keep you from having a good time. Odds are in your favor.

Only advice I have is if you ever find yourself in a confrontation with a shark, punch it in the snout and swim like hell for the shore. One of my teachers in HS said sharks have a nerve cluster there and it's akin to punching them in the groin. It'll distract them long enough for you to get to safety. Never had the opportunity to put it to the test, but it sounded reasonable. I mean, he could of been full of it, but I see no reason for him to have lied.

I'm positive I read an article where an Auatralian gentleman did just that and got out rather well, because the shark took off, after saying, "whyyyyyyyy did you do that?"

Seriously tho, an Australian guy really did that...

That movie scared me when I saw it as a kid. Now it's more like a comedy.

The only movie to permanently scar me was The Exorcist. I watched it alone when I was like seven. To this day, I cannot bring myself to watch it again. Had nightmares for weeks not to mention how pissed my parents were when they found out.

The Omen is mine. Poltergeist messed me up pretty bad for a while, also...
