Here it is.
What if the cure to cancer has been found and is being covered up? Maybe it is being repressed as a means to keep the population in check, maybe there is just too much money out there for hospitals, insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies, I don't know. But we have put so much time and research towards it and don't seem to be making much progress. Sadly, I could see our country doing something like this. If the government is getting kickbacks from pharm or something.
Also, what if the cure to aids has been found? What if it is being repressed because they fear the population in Africa will just skyrocket and there are not enough resources to sustain what they have, as it is.
Not far fetched although many would laugh at this. Much more money in research, drugs, therapy and treatment than in a cure for dramatic diseases. IMO. Why can we be immunized against the flu but there is nothing but prescription and multiple OTC remedies for the common cold?
It's sort of a scary thought. This country would be outraged if it came out and the result would be close to anarchy probably.
I'm going to try to make this coherent.
If a drug is simple and doesn't have many side effects it doesn't need a patent. Drug companies make big money off of patented drugs, though. Non-patented drugs are really cheap. If the cure to a disease was a non-patented drug, it could potentially be repressed because drug companies would literally make nothing off of it and also lose money on all the treatment medications that are used.
People in this country are not going to get outraged about anything enough to do anything about it. We've grown numb and lockstep through life taking the crumbs thrown at us. "Someone/something" has done a great job over the past 20 years of dividing and polarizing the masses through politics. Politics ain't nothing but a live wrestling match with politicians switching roles from one month to the next. Hand out trying to make the fat wallet fatter.
Generic medication is cheap because the original drug has come off of patent or something and competition drives the price so low. If the drug is patented, you can charge whatever you want for it if you are the only one producing it and people need it badly enough.
If it is not patented and does not need FDA approval, it can make any claim it wants legally. If there is any repression, I would guess it would be big pharm making it. Any thing out there that works and they don't own it, they will get it in some way.
If I found out that people I knew had died when they didn't have to my ass would be on a march through Washington. There definitely needs to be reform. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. It's all about the money, in every level of government.
So, where does the reform come from? No money in it for politicians. They get all they can carry from the lobbyist who are there to make sure their needs are met and not ours.
New, this is all speculation and supposition. It comes from me not ever trusting anyone above me. I think strings are being pulled that we'll never know about. It's been going on for a very long time.
