Several years ago I was at Obx on vacation. Stopped at this little coffee shop in between nags head & hatteras (middle of nowhere) to use the restroom. They sold jewelry that you could make yourself. The misses thought out would be cool to make few bracelets to give people as souvenirs. TWO AND A HALF HOURS later she hands me a piece of paper to go pay. The cash register was old and sounded like this as the lady rang up the bill...cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching (repeat 10x more). 4 bracelets $175. I was a little pissed.

At least you didn't have to pay another $20 for shipping. Jewelry castings are very cheap to very expensive. Anywhere from a few bucks to thousands of dollars just for one. Then, have to add the gemstones in on top of that. Plus, tools to actually make it look like something.

I understand the handmade stuff. This was bracelets made our out of glorified fishing line and the misses did all the work. It was a great scam.

Actually thinking about flying into Orlando, renting a car there and doing DW and going to the beach. Then driving up to K-Town for a few days then fly out of Nashville.

Hate when I'm in a new restaurant and dont know if I'm supposed to clean my table or not. Dont want to be a jerk and leave it or look like an idiot and walk around with my empty plate. Wish some people would leave so I could see what they do.
