It's like a little island with beach all around. Lots of people anchor up and party. I have a good friend that runs a boat charter which we utilize. Pontoons and sailboats and such. If you time it right you could get a free boat ride out to party with us. Or I could get you a friendly rate for yourself.

I use to live in the Outer Banks, very familiar with sandbars. Don't think I've been to one 2 miles out though. Just curious if the water around it the sandbar is shallow enough for my son to play and swim.
Check out the photo gallery on the site, you'll see a pic of my hounddogs frolicking in the water. One side has waves the other does not. Wave side some friends walked out about 300 yards before they got chest deep.
