Napa and some place in Northern AZ.

Is he going wine tasting in Napa? Northern AZ is pretty remote. Any idea where? Quick story about Napa. Many years ago, my wife and I took a road trip to Albuquerque because she had never been. We were living in Loudon, TN. After a few days, she asked if we could go visit her grandmother. I said yes and asked where she lived. Northern California! So, off we went. Had a great longer road trip and a nice long visit. Her granny had a great restaurant on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Free food. Anyway, we're driving through Napa Valley on the way back just checking out the scenery. I pull into a small service station on a two lane dirt/gravel road in the middle of nowhere and go in for a coke. We come back out and there is a couple standing next to our car. They saw the tags and were curious. They were from Loudon, too.

AC would be needed. LeMans cars all run AC, as seen on this Corvette (the part behind the mesh where the license plate would be).

Power loss would not be a big issue, if the series wanted to make up for power loss they could give the engine builders a bit more freedom. Give them a few extra cc's of engine size to play with.

As for the fumes, should be a non issue. Just about every cockpit car has the motor located behind the driver, with exhausts exiting towards the rear. No real chance for fumes.

Is cooling the car more efficient and driver friendly than just cooling the driver via some sort of cooling suit, helmet included?

Just looked at a map and was horrible mistaken on my layout haha. Flagstaff isn't even too far north and I was under the assumption Scottsdale bordered it. But that is Phoenix.

Yeah, he usually goes to a couple and does the wine tastings. I don't know if he puts it on the expense account or not, that shiz is expensive, isn't it? He makes a run out there each year. Is it that pretty of a place?

Pretty sweet story. The odds of that are beyond minuscule.

Good question. I am not 100% sure.

I am pretty sure that given the nature of endurance racing and it's use of multiple drivers per cars, cooling the car is best. Looking at the design of the cool suit, it has an external pump, which I think would be cumbersome working with driver changes, plus I suppose it would need to be topped off as well.

Not sure if much has changed in 20 years, but was very scenic when we drove it. We literally drove on some old dusty two lane roads through the valley. Passed a lot of beautiful vineyards w/ tasting houses. Some were old mansions.

He runs them out to visit their grandkids for a week.

It really has to be a great job. He travels everywhere, and when he is there for extended period, he gets to play tourist.

Thanks. Wasn't sure how a cool suit might work. Know they're around in different applications but hadn't thought about it being tethered to something. What you said is probably the best work around. Governing body OK's increased cc's to offset HP loss due to AC.

Did I miss something? He (who?) runs them (who?) to visit their grand kids for a week. I'm guessing a client or some such, but don't know.
