You seem to think we are losing our basic freedoms, but above you just argued that we should do what it takes to prevent death.
The freedoms we are losing today make us safer, no?
And if we are safer because of increased government involvement, would you rather they back off knowing that our safety is diminished?
I don't believe we are safer. But, that's a whole political debate. And, we wouldn't be having if alerts, warnings, communication had been looked into.
And, it seems we're talking different countries with different needs within the same conversation.
