I told the story a few years ago. I walked around work looking for my favorite pencil, had my staff help me look for at least an hour. Couldn’t find it anywhere (I’m bad to lose my coffee also and everyone helps me looks because they know how I am without it). It was in my hand the whole time. I don’t know what bothered me more, not realizing it was in my hand the whole time or the staff not seeing it there. .

Feels like a few months ago, but I sure as hell wouldn’t trust my memory. What’s crazy now is how often I hear about something that happened 10 or 15 years ago, and if I were asked I would say it was a couple of years ago.
