Sure, because that’s what people do when something new and scary happens. And I think there’s a whole lot of crap being conducted in government-funded labs around the world, and I’m very cynical about the motives behind the research.

I don‘t think the Chinese are honest about things, any more than any other government is these days, but I do tend to believe what the scientists find. At least they’ve got some research behind their findings, as opposed to the hair-on-fire crowd of any and every political persuasion.

I just got worked up being in that PF all day -- main reason I avoid it as much as possible == but the media has the whole country in a frenzy and why ? That tornado last week is already lost in the news and it killed 29 people in a matter of minutes - people need to get a grip on life

This virus not contained can kill 21 a week easy. In fact the first week in the USA it killed 21 people.

Now the Chinese are saying Americans brought the virus to China and that’s how it got there. 😡

as long as people dont stay inside its not getting contained and as far as I can tell everyone is out and about like its a little vacation -- you dont really think anyone is actually doing any work at home do you ?

Yeah, and that is one of the many, many terrible results of the neo-liberals AND neo-conservatives (both parties, y’all) running this country for the last several decades. They’ve pandered to their donors on Wall Street and sold out the people of America to line their own pockets.

That’s a couple of chuckleheads on Chinese social media. Like we don’t have the equivalent here. That’s what I mean about political arm-waving getting in the way of actual science that can, you know, actually figure something out.

When you set up your rape van down by the river, you stay away from our teardrop trailer! We just want to chillax while we’re still alive, and possibly sip something that needs sipping!

And since we live in Asheville, we are required to drive Subies and listen to bluegrass, so that was a little cut from Balsam Range right down the road in Canton ( home of the paper mill that poisoned the French Broad River.)
