Watching Alaska State Troopers show... stop drunks and make them do the test.
1) Stand on one leg... wait for me to come back.
2) When I do, spin in a circle 10 times, and recite the alphabet backwards from etta.
3) Put your hands behind your back, you are under arrest.

Hey NEV, good to see you back brother.

Hey NEV, good to see you back brother.
Enjoyed the forum banter tonight... had a few Konas too. Gonna go back to work Monday... been 5 weeks without being there.... not sure how that will go. Mind has not thought about what I do there... so, I will have to find my nads and get it together and hit it hard. But I think that is what I need.

Found this in another thread and the first word that came to mind was hypocrite. Why is that?

Attends three events. In the first, he's seated amidst Episcopalians. In the second, he's seated amidst members of a reformed Jewish congregation. In the third, he's seated amidst Muslims. After each, he goes home and prays for their souls when he should be praying to God for humility and thanking God for reminding him of the glorious gift of free will and what it means to the life he will live amidst God's extraordinary creation.

Should know that I would do good service praying all the above mentioned prayers and that he should be a man of prayer too.
Should also know that every denomination of believers have lost people amongst them, Jesus Christ had Judas.
Given that my post was paraphrased from ordained ministers and you choose to reply with the backhanded presumption that I am not a man of prayer is contrary to the very vocation you claim as your own.

I'm glad to hear that you are a man of prayer. I wasn't trying to be presuming about anything. And how was I supposed to know that you were paraphrasing anything?
I'm not sure why you posted what you did towards me and I really don't care. That is a light hearted thread with plenty of humor and I am trying my best to keep it that way.
If you want to have a theology discussion, I will be glad to do it in the Bible thread.

Springfield is the next town over to the west of where I grew up.

Anyway, I believed you but was laughing at dude eating them. That's nasty I don't care how good he says it is. A guy goes to my church from Vietnam says dog is good. Yea, you know what I say.

And .....no big deal, but to me bobcats are way to cool to be killing. I was born and raised on a 480+ acre farm that was surrounded by even more land with woods and hollows, and I can only remember ever seeing 2 in 32 years. I've never seen one here.
No they’re not. 80% of their diet is wild turkeys. I don’t care what I’m hunting, if I see a bobcat, it becomes a bobcat hunt. image.jpgimage.jpg

You're interfering with the natural balance of species when you hunt predators for no reason. I'm a bit skeptical about the 80% part, but even if bobcats do depend heavily on wild turkeys, if there aren't enough bobcats to keep their numbers down, the turkey population will get out of control, encouraging disease and starvation. I don't know that there are enough turkey hunters to then easily get the turkey numbers back to the sustainable level.

I don't hunt (you would not want to be in the same woods as me with a gun, no doubt), and I don't have a problem with hunting prey animals like turkey and ducks and deer, but killing predators just because they irritate you is a whole different thing.

I kill predators (skunks, raccoons, coyotes and bobcats) because they predate animals that I hunt. Being at the top of the food chain in the woods I hunt, allows me that privilege. To each his own....
