Vanuatu was in the news, today. Some Solomon island has cut a development deal with nationally chartered Chinese company for 75 years. Apparently, it makes Peter Frampton's initial 3-album deal look brilliant in comparison. The international press noted the preceding Vanuatu deal for a deep water port and characterize the move as part of China's military expansion into the Pacific. However, my thoughts didn't turn to geo-politics. I was reminded of a decades-old National Geographic story about the vine jumpers of Vanuatu, revisited in this video short. Yes, centuries before bungee jumping became a thing in the developed world, guys were building rickety towers and jumping from them with vines tied to their ankles.

Home. Got home last night and passed out. Turns out, my blood pressure meds have been doing too good. BP has been running too low.

Appointments were just check ups with some of my doctors. Nothing major. Have another day of appointments at the end of next month. Think I get December off(hopefully). Already have a day of appointments set for January, and another for February. Trip to Nashville isn't horrible but I HATE the traffic there. It's always bad.
