I like those early reissues and have a great fondness for the Tele. I think that came from watching Jimmy Vaughn. I lived in So Cal not far from the Fender Factory. It was in Corona just down the road from San Bernardino. I went through on one of their tours. Amazing place.

I think his little brother Stevie Ray outshined him immensely..Vaughn is under rated.
Never been to the Fender plant but the Gibson plant was great.

Did I hear, a year or so ago, that Gibson was in trouble for using an imported wood that was from an endangered tree? Or did I dream that?

I have, but it's been awhile, thanks.
I would be surprised if I didn't have almost every album, cd and dvd SRV made.
One of my favorites is SRV with Albert King, they talk between songs.
They were talking about SRV's first recordings and Albert says something like, yeah I heard you on that Bowie song playing my licks.
