Pretty much the only tomato based thing I like is ketchup. I can eat tomato based things, just not my favorite.

Rocki, I would eat anything you prepared and I'm sure I would enjoy it, but my idea of BBQ does not include "sweet or molasses" JMO.

Edit: Unless it's peacock BBQ.

In my opinion the most important part to bbq is the actual smoking of the meat, the wood used, the cut of meat, then you can have various sauces for the tastes.

I am sure if we all got together we could come up with an incredibly imaginative set of dishes. For now Ladies and Gents goodnight. VIF and I are Out. Love to you all and sweet dreams.......

Sorry VG. lol

Hey Jhen, VIF and I have had great results with squash, particularly zucchini. The yellow squash is more finicky. Sevin dust, liquid or powder works great on all vegi's to keep the pests off.

As far as putting your extra squash outside the garden, no problem. Dig a gallon sized hole in your red clay. mix the removed soil with black cow manure or mushroom compost, or if you're in a pinch miracle grow soil will work. You have to mix it with the existing soil or the roots will not spread in the ground. You should have great luck! VIF and I have been working on our garden for many years. We have been retraining ourselves for Florida gardening.

:good!:Thanks. Iam gonna try to move some either Fri or sat. They are about the size of a melon right now. In using the sevin dust, do I have to worry about putting too much and which is better?

What do you like? I like spicy, tomato based sauces over good smoked pork.

Bring on the vinegary sauce. Extra spicy!!! I wish I had some vinegar slaw right now. I might have to make me a batch this weekend.

I prefer the dust to the liquid because you can be more precise and not just douse everything and you usually get it all over you hands. Just a light coating is good. reapply after a rain or when the dust is no longer seen.(make sure you are upwind, it being dust and all)

here are a few batches we have picked lately.
