Go now before they're gone. Seriously. Joan Baez did a concert in an outdoor park about 6 miles from here last year. Front row seats. I've seen many and continue when I have the chance.

James Taylor... outdoors... is one of the best I've seen.

I think about the concerts I have been to and its doubtful that any of those people will be considered "legends"

Of course I have seen the revamped version of a few pretty awesome acts at Riverbend but its not the same as the original.

I don't see any new "legends" being made either. I see many who will be long term, though. But, not like some who are still going strong 50 years later.

Thanks, man. I really like first person stories like that. I've got a few I'll tell some day. Won't be soon. That trademark boa would've been easy to spot I'd say. I've been to see some people that weren't in the right venue, too. It just feels odd.
You're right, a pink jumpsuit with a pink boa would be hard to miss, if you happened to be looking in that direction. Honestly, after reading your posts for awhile now I am interested in hearing some of your stories and your history, although I know it's none of my business. I'm old though and not in a big hurry, as you have stated, to push your stories until you're ready to tell 'em. Just be sure to pm me when you get ready to enlighten us all.

I'll definitely do that. I'd say we've seen some of the same things and enjoyed them. Stuff that won't come round again in that form.:eek:k:

There's good music out there beneath the layer of auto-tune and American Idol but its just hard to find and not as popular. If I could turn back time...

Yeah, 'twould be nice to turn it back a notch. You Tube is a good time machine. Not like live, but has the flavor for the oldies.

T. Swift is fine....

My opinion, too. But, our parents probably thought the same thing. They had their legends, too. Some of those are mine, too.

I feel like you two are sitting around a fire right now talking about the olden days. Hehe

Caught Bob Dylan with the Band back in the day and it was transcendendant. Crazily enough one of my favorite Dylan albums is Slow Train Coming.

His conversion album, of sorts. There's some good tunes on it. I like it more as I get older. I have everything he ever made, so it's easy to see he's one of my favorites. But, I have hundreds of favorites.

Mudslide Slim is The Musical Voice. And, does great live shows. I wish he'd put hair back on that upper lip though. Just looks odd without the stache to me.

JT can bring some slick lyrics...

Copper head, copper beech
Copper kettles sitting side by each
Copper coil, cup o'georgia peach
Down on copperline
Half a mile down to morgan creek
Leaning heavy on the end of the week
Hercules and a hog-nosed snake
Down on copperline
We were down on copperline

Is there a reservation near you?

Everywhere. I guess the Ute reservation in Salt Lake City is the closest. A lot of battles and a lot of history around here. I love the mountain man stuff. When driving around the mountains, valleys and passes, I always try to imagine what it was like back then. Jeremiah Johnson stuff.
