I didn't say he was. But at least give him some credit for the positive things he does. I know he's a work in progress with the fouling.

I posted the new rules are already a negative with his style.

I say let him play and go after it. Over time maybe he will settle in but if not keep going all out and doing his thing

In the op in this thread I thought it was very much a change in tune for him to say McGee was ahead of all those other guys .

I respect that. I have not had much to say lately. One reason is because most make a big deal of my comments. The double standards are so funny. People can defend their favorite player but I can't defend mine. Honestly I'm not defending him though. It is what it is. Jabari needs to curtail the fouling. But he brings some good to the game too

Yeah I like the word silly. Just about everyone on the team has been criticized. But I havent heard anyone else's mistakes being called dumb. Imo that's a little over the top. But carry on. I'm wearing my big girl bloomers.

You're right and what I should have said is that he hasn't used such negative terms to describe others shortcomings. But I'm done with this now. I don't want to tie up the thread with it. I'm ready for tomorrow and looking ahead for improvement From all of our guys. Go Vols!

I would agree with this if we had a more complete roster, but we don't. So, we need him to not foul as much and be on the floor more. If that causes him to be a little less aggressive, I'll take that over him getting quick fouls and not even seeing the floor. I will say that I would rather a player be aggressive than not.

Kenny Hall used to frustrate the hell out of me. He had the motor of a snail and it took a lot to wake him up. When he wanted to play, UT usually won or was right in it to win. The sad part was that he just wasn't that aggressive most of the time.

I think it will be tougher. These guys have a lot of fight in them though. I'm confident that We can pull this off.

I don't have a good feeling about that game. They have played well against pretty good competition. We better not have a long stretch of bad basketball.

If ever Jabari McGhee is not aggressive you'd better believe he is truly sick. Lol. But you're right we need him to tone it down a tad bit if it's gonna cause him to be hand checking.

That's impressive. I can see it more on offense cause of the number of quick shots. But doing okay on the defensive end so far too. That's what's been so strange about the getting beat down the court on defense from time to time, our team effort on the boards has been great.

Barnes made a comment about his irritation with celebrations, guess some guys may be admiring their shot or pass and not getting back down court.

Meh at least its easily correctable with better focus and effort.

You know, before he came here I thought Barnes was pretty vanilla and full of coach speak during interviews. But what little I've heard since he's been here he's not afraid to speak his mind. Or even challenge his players thru the media.

He doesn't sugar coat much, the media loves him, Rucker has been very vocal about how Barnes is the complete opposite of Butch, he'll tell you exactly what he thinks.

I 100% agree on this. Maybe I'm old school, but save the celebration for a timeout or at the end of the game. Focus on the task at hand and not letting guys leak out while you're pimping for the camera.
