Damn I'm not around for a while and this place goes crazy.

I'm also a little jealous, I thought I was the one all over Trains balls, not Tex.

No, i'd like to see it.

I really got to reading about the dust bowl after someone on here posted an album of pics from the depression era, it was a period I had never really looked into.

I sure wish I could remember the name of the video, so I could tell you. "Surviving the dust bowl" maybe...

I'm not understanding why Brady, Manning, and Brees are the lead folks for the NFLPA in their negotiations. Not very representative of the rank and file, which is more or less who Unions are formed to represent, no?

The dust bowl was crazy and the people that stayed rode out a rough time.

The stories about parents killing their children, because they thought it was the end of the world. Lets you know what their mindset was during the time.

Don't the leaders usually lead the fight in a disagreement?

Funny how a few unusually wet years convinced the powers that be that the climate of that area had changed permanantly.

I'm guessing it would be close to that today if it wasn't for the agriculture being bigger today than it was then. We haven't even reached 2" of rain this whole year. Not sure of the rain totals back then, but it's pretty bad here.

A better irrigation/water acquisition system helps as well. I think the M.O. of the time was "plow, plant, wait for rain"
