Yeah, he was handed a lot of crap for going juco then to Alabama. His parents were both graduates from UT and his leaving and going to Alabama didn't sit to well with the fanbase. In the end he was an addict and that seems to have overshadowed all his abilities and potential. I hate it, especially for his family

clearly, i don't know the whole story, but it's amazing to me that as much "support" as should have been around him while playing football and two programs as big as bama/ut that no one, as far as i know/have read, stepped in and helped remedy the situation. just like with ainge, i think it was

I don't know anymore than what has been published, which is very little. From limited personal experience, there may have been many people who recognized the problem. There may have been every effort of help and support readily available. It's, also, possible, that he didn't think he needed help. How many young people, or people of any age, think in the back of their head before doing something...This might seriously injure or kill me.

i agree, and was just rambling though i should have probably made that more clear. i just have issues with collegiate athletics and overall priorities

I know. I figured you're closer to things of this nature than many on here. I wouldn't doubt that you see some similar or potential problems on a weekly basis due to your work. It is sad. But, regardless of the problem, you can't help someone who doesn't first recognize they have a problem. Looking back, I had some problems around that age. But, I didn't know it then.

baked Pesto Chicken with onions, peppers and pasta with steamed asparagus. WOW way to go RV!!!

Sitting in the movie theatre with Tj waiting on Cars 2 to start. Have about 20 minutes to go and we are the only ones in here. Hope it stays that way. Don't think I've been to a movie and sat all alone before.
