Sly, I've been going out each evening and hitting some golf balls. My friend, who is pretty good, says I do okay for someone who never picks up a club.

Some do pick it up quickly and naturally. Don't try to get too technical. If you're making good contact with the ball and it is flying fairly straight, practice putting. Being able to get up and down around the green will make or break a game.
