Random Things that Irk You...

Joe knows.... everything. Just ask him; he will tell you so. He also qualifies as a one upper.

ESPN has a sick sense of humor to subject viewers to him as long as they did. For a sports-centric company they have some awful on air talent.

The nickname "Little Joe" has nothing to do with Joe Morgan's ego.

Yep, that's the folks I'm referring to. If you hit a 3 wood into the green on someone from 320, I'm sure they would have no problem buying you a beer. Seeing as how we haven't used one freaking shot of yours all day, I don't see it happening chief. Hit the damn ball.

The guy that stands in the fairway on a par 5 320 yards out waiting for the green to clear " in case I really catch one" is a favorite of mine. Inevitably a duff, or at least 125 yards short. Meanwhile 3 groups are on the tee.

"I don't think i can get there, but I better wait just in case I catch it solid."

I see that almost every single time I play...and I tell them the same thing. If you hit into them, they'll understand.

Ever had someone hook/slice it into some mean looking rough (1-2 ft hight) and miraculously find their ball? How about someone who doesn't know how to count strokes and always forgets to add the tap in putt you gave them?

Which is why I wear two pair of socks. A little mud butt won't stop my round.

Those that putt first and hit the back of the hole so hard that it damages the cup, then then and say "doesn't break a bit."

Just putt it straight at the hole at a reasonable pace.

Ha.

I can put it in the fairway a decent amount. Its the second shot that gets me.

I get picked up bc to suck as much as I do I am a pretty good putter.

If someone is trying to use a PW for a 175 yd shot all you need to do is put it on the green and smile...because they aren't going to get there.

There's a member at my home course that can stomp a wedge on favorable conditions to about 165-170. With that said, he putts and chips the same way. He'll smack it all over the course to a 85.

That's about where I'm at (85). I can reach high 70's on a good day and shoot 90 on a bad one. The biggest problem I have is being too aggressive sometimes. I try shots that even pro's wouldn't attempt.

There's nothing wrong with trying shots. But when it comes to scoring sometimes you just have to take your medicine.

I have a problem with the whole risk/reward setup. I'm all about taking risks and I'm simply not good enough to pull it off regularly to get the reward. That's where I get in trouble. I like to be creative too...playing a nice draw or something when a straight shot would be sufficient.

I play "smart golf" in scrambles and tourney's and let loose when playing with the guys.
