Racism

Just do what the cops say. Don't understand why people still do this stuff.

I don't think the cops should have arrested him in the first place, but Martese should have just gotten on the ground and stayed silent.

If he cooperated best case scenario would have been a verbal warning, worst case scenario a fine for using a fake ID. But no he took it to the next level.

I used a girls ID to get into a UT game my freshman year because I lent my little bro my UT ID. I swiped it and the security guys saw the blond female, confiscated my card, I explained why I was using it, they asked me to leave.

I bought a scalped ticket and paid for the chicks new ID..respect and cooperation keeps you from the ass whipping. LISTEN TO CHRIS ROCK PEOPLE

Gotta sift through the moronic comments from eye witnesses.

He wasn't beat down. Used fake ID, wouldn't cooperate (he is drunk), resisted arrest or detention, got body slammed, cut his head which bled more due to high BAC, wasn't Irish.

I've seen this like every weekend in downtown Orlando, blacks/whites/hispanics. Its a rainbow of ass whoopin's. Most drunk people, especially young kids, are morons who feel invincible.

You need to post links cause you're full of crap.

Daniel P. Watkins, an attorney representing Johnson, said in a statement that "contrary to early police reports," his client wasn't accused of having a fake ID during the incident. He said ABC agents forced Johnson to the ground prior to handcuffing him, "striking his head on the pavement and causing him to bleed profusely from the gash on his head."

When they start questioning you, just go to the ground? I can't argue that it's not in your best interest, but that's not the state I want to live in.

We don't really know that he was refusing to cooperate. His friends say he was answering questions. The cops are obviously going to say otherwise. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of it.

It doesn't look good for the cops. When all you can charge him with is obstruction of justice, the incident looks like a joke.

Obviously not when they're questioning you, but just comply.

I'm sure he was doing what he was supposed to do until he was thrown on the ground. Calling the cops names (although deservedly) doesn't help his case, though.

I agree, the incident does appear to be a joke.

I backed up mine and you ran and hid LOL.

Are you talking about this?

Uproar after black UVA student injured during arrest - CNN.com

"Video from the incident shows Johnson pinned to the ground, screaming: "I go to UVA! ... You f****** racists! What the f***? How did this happen?"

An officer can be heard telling the student to stop fighting."

Need me to spell it out for you? Quit your *****ing and moaning, and realize that people bring these things upon themselves, it has ZERO to do with race you clown.

I don't care if he yelled at the cops after they assaulted him. You are correct. You posted a link that backed up something you said, but I don't have a problem with you claiming he "moaned" after he got the ish kicked out of him. I mean, I prefer my comrades whimper in quiet after the KGB ****s them up, so I get what you're saying...

Do you have any reading comprehension ability whatsoever? Serious question. Read that again chief.

I don't really have an issue if he was improperly detained and chose to yell at the officers while one the ground. At that point it didn't matter.

Im curious to why he chose the words he did (including "I go to UVA", trying to understand the relevance there). Is there any information or quotes by the cops that backs up the idea they are racists and this was racially motivated? Or just a poorly executed arrest that shouldn't have been made. Or, is there more to the story.

So that is what you were talking about? I'm not challenging the facts presented in that post. You can have them. Your interpretation is bunk, but like I said, there is no helping you.

I was never challenging facts that can be seen in the video. I was the one who mentioned the video in the very first post on this topic. I'm challenging the claims about what led to the incident. The video starts well after the incident escalated.

You're new here, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. The politics forum can be a **** show, or a great way to exchange ideas. You can be one of the goons that gets the most likes, but is also the most hated and mocked, or you can be a respectable member of this forum.

Cute. But the fact is you are looking for racism where it doesn't exist. I can only assume you didn't attend college because if you had, you would have seen incidents exactly like this one every single weekend. Being an entitled, drunk dumbass is not a black/white issue, it's a college one. This kid got exactly what every other drunk college idiot in Americs gets. You're just like every other fool who believes everything the Liberal media tells them.

Just a poorly executed arrest at this point, but I think it likely the result is different if you make this exact same kid white. Nobody seems to be claiming he was physical at all.

I think the kid was trying to say that he's not a trouble-maker. Going to UVA is a big deal. I had good grades and wouldn't have been able to get in there.

Yeah, it wouldn't be national news.

You have no idea what he did or said that led up to the events so you can't say this is "exactly what every drunk college idiot..." now can you?

I went to college, and they taught me how to draw logical conclusions.

He resisted arrest and cussed the cops/called them racist. What more does he have to do? Pull a gun? You resist arrest, you will be forcibly restrained. This is called common knowledge. Black people call this racism.

Isn't there another side to that coin?
