Good luck to QD and this gives CJP and his staff another scholarship to use for 2018 while Guarantano will most likely be the number one quarterback headed into spring practice.

So do we take 2 QBS this cycle or add another on D?

I say not counting signees (in order of priority):

3-4 DBs,
2-3 LBs, in addition to Peterson
1 DT, in addition to Litaker
1 OL
1 RB, in addition to Grant
1 WR
1 QB

Obviously we don't have that many Scolly's left this year (I count 11 more). We are hurting bad at DB and LB. 1 more DT and OL and we are set for linemen. With JJennings back, I consider RB a priority over WR/QB but wouldn't pass over a top athlete.

He honestly would be better off sitting out a year to learn the new system he's going to. Then kill it in 2019 so he can get drafted.

Its tough to go to a new team and be great in year 1 as a transfer. Hell its difficult to even get the starting job.

We have 8 more scholarships to give. Looks like we only sign 23.

On an emotionless, dispassionate evaluation of how I saw him play last year. Kid can really spin it, is accurate, just lacks pocket awareness and the ability to feel pressure....he can be coached on that. Put up decent numbers (62%, about 1,000 yards, 4 tds, 2 ints, 129 qb rating) in a crap high school offense behind the worst OL in school history.

Just a difference of opinion here. You think he’s bad, I’m certain I saw a lot of potential and a young qb with good tools who just needs good coaching to become a very good SEC QB. Guess we’ll see.

I don’t think he’s bad. He can definitely play somewhere. He just hasn’t shown me anything to think that he’s ready to lead an elite program as QB.

What I mean by elite is I don’t agree that he has the talent to lead a P5 program. I guess he could, anyone could for that matter. Doesn’t mean they’d be successful. I’m just saying that he didn’t do anything while here to make me think he can go light it up at another program. Maybe it was just coaching, we shall see.

Between transfers and other potential bad news looming (Chance Hall is a possibility), I think we make it to 25.

Not many Seniors for 2019 class though (I want to say 15 or less).
