While the previous staff didn't do QD any favors with their inept ability to coach qBs, QD simply isn't a power 5 QB. You either got it or you don't. Best of luck to him.

We said the same thing about Peterson now look at him. Getting paid millions to throw passes to the opposing team.

I thought the same thing about Peterman though, after his performance in that Florida game. I don't think we should hold any QB's performance under the previous staff against them.

I wish him the best of luck but I'm not worried about life without him. The best I ever saw him was during the Spring practice drills. He never was much of a contributor to Vols football on game days in 3 yrs so why mourn his loss? Alabama got more out of a freshman in a half one week ago than we got out of QD in 3 yrs. Those of you who thought he'd blossom in yr 4 were dreaming

Throwing it out here that Bama's staff may have been a tad better than what Dormady and this program had to endure under Jones.

I expect he will go somewhere and do well much like Peterman and Ferguson.

Disagree. He can definitely play D1, P5 football imho. Needs a better opportunity and coaching than the crap Lyle and a former Utah State running backs coach gave him. Wants and probably needs a fresh start somewhere else, can’t say as I blame him.

Definitely JG’s job now. Helton gotta coach him some pocket awareness and get him in a legit SEC offense and we’re all good imho. Hope Shrout is good enough and ready to be #2 on the depth chart very quickly.

Wouldn't bet on that, but another step taken in turning over this roster....a good thing.

Who you got over JG? Surely to God almighty you’re not thinking McBride. Lol.

Agree about the need to turn over the roster. Not necessarily with QD though, other positions/players need it worse imo, but I agree the sooner JP gets his guys in here the better.

No ill will here. Good luck QD and you willl always be a VFL. You earned it with the beating you took with no offensive line.

Much tougher to turn over a roster when you only sign 25 players (max) per year. Half the team can leave and you only get 25 new players.

When a simple "Good luck" just doesn't suffice

Jg is not the man. Our qb may not be on tha team yet.

You don't know this anymore than the Coach's do. If he doesn't progress under this staff then that claim can be made after next season. The light comes on for QB's and other players every year with coaching changes. We have had that happen to 2 QB's the last 10 years. Crompton looked 10 times worse than JG ever did that year before Kiffin took over. He only led the SEC in passing TD's. Erik Ainge looked awful and lost the job to Rick Clausen. In steps Cut and Ainge led us to the SEC Championship and was a completely different QB. It happens every year in college football.
