BOT do you think that JG wasn’t a very BIG reason as to why the offense at UT was inept every yr he started? This season I say JG, Covid, Friend, Weinke.
Ga fans probably said Kirby and Chaney didn't want him/ recruit him. Then VN bought into itBailey is not scared of competition. He will be fine. I don't know where the rumor that Chaney doesn't like Bailey got started. I have never heard Chaney say anything bad about Bailey. Chaney was excited to have Bailey coming to Knoxville.
Lol if he transfers to Georgia, he's dumber than all your posts in this thread. Brock Vandagriff is their future QB for the next three years. To me, HB is the logical choice. So, of course Hooker will get the nod, with Salter backing him up, and HB in the xfer portal to UGA, where he will destroy us, every year.
JG also wasnt scoring points to alleviate these other shortcomings you mentioned above .Yes I think JG was a big reason. But JG wasn’t the one who couldn’t cover slants or missed a ton of tackles. JG wasn’t making head coaching decisions. JG wasn’t failing to line up correctly on the DL. JG wasn’t missing FGs. JG wasn’t dropping passes or missing blocks. JG wasn’t getting torched in the secondary.

He averaged less than a TD a game over his career. BOT that is simply unacceptable.
This is a make or break year for Pruitt obviously if he is retained. He'll coach differently. He'll risk more.First question. Does anyone think Bailey starts this year? I would have said he was a lock to start before Hooker came aboard. Now I am not so sure. I have read on here that Chaney isn’t the biggest fan of Bailey. Whether that’s true or not is up for debate. But let’s say Hooker wins the job. That brings up my last question.
Can Bailey red shirt? I am pretty sure he still can. But would he? Would he sit a year to improve given the fact of last years fiasco? I don’t know. He might. What are you guys thoughts?
You are probably one of those that blames our 3-7 record on JG. Whatever man. Pretty sad.
JG single handedly lost the Kentucky game and then he lost the locker room or what little of a locker room there was. He was a 5th year senior that still doesn't get the ball out on time and doesn't have any short yardage touch. Personally, I gave him the benefit of the doubt as long as I could, but after the 2020 KY game, he should have been on the bench. UT's investment wasn't paying off.
JG is largely to blame for UT's record the last 4 years.
Largely? Debatable. A fairly big reason? Sure. But again, this team had way more deficiencies than just QB.
Chaney isn't a fan of him but he was here when Bailey was recruited and brought him in?? Typical. Chaney is the one who should be held accountable for our poor offense last year rather than Pruitt.
I have been one of the biggest HB advocates all year but partly due to who we had at starter at the time. I say let’s have a complete and honest QB competition and the best mans wins the job. The old saying if you have 2 QB’s you have none. Enough with pulling a QB when a little adversity hits. Let’s settle on the best man for the job regardless who it is.First question. Whoever made the call to stick with Guarantano should be held accountable for our poor offense last year. Was it Chaney? I highly doubt it, he’s coached enough good quarterbacks to know that Guarantano wasn’t one..Chaney isn't a fan of him but he was here when Bailey was recruited and brought him in?? Typical. If Chaney wanted a mobile QB why did UGA have pro style QB the whole time he was there. Justin Fields transferred out after 1 year because he did not fit Chaneys offense. Chaney likes a pro style offense. He ran that the last time he was in Knoxville with Tyler Brey. HB is an ideal fit for his offense.I think a lot of y’all haven’t watched tech play. Hooker is amazing, the only reason he transferred is because Burmister is going to be the best QB in the acc next year. Bailey belongs at Georgia or Alabama. Chaney wants a mobile QB. A playmaker.
You realize Cheney left for Tennessee right after fields transferred. Smart managed the QB situation just like Pruitt did here. With bray you’re talking about ten years ago.If Chaney wanted a mobile QB why did UGA have pro style QB the whole time he was there.
