As BRG advised I started a thread to ask this question. I am not a Women's Basketball follower but I have yet to receive a firm answer as to why Gino and Pat decided to cancel there yearly clash of UCONN and the Lady Vols. Can someone please tell me why?

Because UCONN cheated in recruiting of Maya Moore & the NCAA would not investigate.

If you get Sports Illustrated, they talked about it.

Geno says Pat hates him.
Not an SI subscriber....So because Pat didn't like him they decided not to play anymore....There has to be more to it than that....Not familiar with the Maya Moore incident, can you ellaborate?

Hey, I care! After football, I have all kinds of basketball to keep me company since we have Pat and Bruce leading the Vols. As I have said in the past, if it is wearing our shade of orange, I will watch it.

Ok, so because I don't care why Pat and Geno don't like each other I don't care about basketball?

It's just a dumb fight between the two of them. Both say that it's the other person's fault they wouldn't schedule the other team.

Supposedly dirty recruiting by Geno. I don't know much else about it.

Sorry, justin. I thought you meant "who cares about the Lady Vols..." Really, I don't give a rip either about a feud between Gino and anybody.

The Rumor: Maya Moore's family moved to Connecticut and bought a house "beyond their means".

Pat asked the NCAA to investigate; they declined; Pat canceled the game.

This could turn into a Reggie Bush type situation.

Again rumor. Smoke, fire. who knows?

Because Gena is a whiney jerkoff basically. Pat has way more rings, WAY more wins and he's a jealous brat.

i dont see dirty recruiting as a solid reason to cancel the biggest game of the regular season. if these guys hate each other that much, they should want to play each other that much. in the end, the fans lose.

The Lady Vols don't need Uconn....They play in the best the conference in womens basketball & play the best non conference schedule in the nation without Uconn on it.....So SCREW GENO & UCONN!

"Auriemma called Tennessee "the evil empire." And commenting on his longtime friend, Villanova coach Harry Perretta who helped Summitt with a new motion offense, Auriemma said, "Harry left me for an older woman." Summitt could laugh but also implied Auriemma was jealous and paranoid.
Auriemma said Summitt and Tennessee are too serious."

This guy deserves no explanation. For a guy with success, he has a chip on his shoulder.

I'm glad the 'AA declined to investigate. They don't have enough investigators to police the two sports that matter. They certainly don't need to be burning time and resources on a squabble in a meaningless niche sport that about 15 schools in America actually give a crap about.

My comment wasn't about women's basketball. It was about allocation of 'AA investigatory resources. I would have made the same point if Todd Raleigh was in a snit with Pat Murphy.

Tennessee Baseball would have to nationally relevent for more than flash in the pan acts for that to happen.

Arizona State= Power House

How hard could it be to find where the cash came from to pay for one large house? One day, one forensic accountant, case closed.
