As BRG advised I started a thread to ask this question. I am not a Women's Basketball follower but I have yet to receive a firm answer as to why Gino and Pat decided to cancel there yearly clash of UCONN and the Lady Vols. Can someone please tell me why?
Hey, I care! After football, I have all kinds of basketball to keep me company since we have Pat and Bruce leading the Vols. As I have said in the past, if it is wearing our shade of orange, I will watch it.
Not an SI subscriber....So because Pat didn't like him they decided not to play anymore....There has to be more to it than that....Not familiar with the Maya Moore incident, can you ellaborate?
The Lady Vols don't need Uconn....They play in the best the conference in womens basketball & play the best non conference schedule in the nation without Uconn on it.....So SCREW GENO & UCONN!i dont see dirty recruiting as a solid reason to cancel the biggest game of the regular season. if these guys hate each other that much, they should want to play each other that much. in the end, the fans lose.
I'm glad the 'AA declined to investigate. They don't have enough investigators to police the two sports that matter. They certainly don't need to be burning time and resources on a squabble in a meaningless niche sport that about 15 schools in America actually give a crap about.
My comment wasn't about women's basketball. It was about allocation of 'AA investigatory resources. I would have made the same point if Todd Raleigh was in a snit with Pat Murphy.
