Say what you want, there's an entire generation of American males who were glued to the TV every time a Samantha Fox video hit the airwaves.

I was gonna say... Wasn't she the one that did the "Touch Myself" song? Made me want to "touch her self."

that video is so surreal...it's a 15 year old boys sex anthem, a redhead with a huge rack talkin about a happy position about being a submissive toy.

The surprise several posters expressed after finding out I was a fan of the music of Fall Out Boy gave me an idea for a topic. What 5 bands would you expect a given poster to listen to. For example; I'll start with Lawgator. The five bands I would expect him to listen to are:
1. Steely Dan.
2. Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
3. Wham.
4. Right Said Fred.
5. The Lawrence Welk Orchestra.

1. Steely Dan.

You are correct, sir. As well known in these parts, I'm a big fan. Got some of their memorabilia over the years, tshirts, flasks, etc. When they are on tour, I go see them. I organize parties for the fans when they are in Tampa or Orlando. If you ask any musician, even some of the young kids just starting out in actual performing bands, they will tell you they are fans, too.

Their music is ageless, complicated, melodic, ironic, and overall just groovey. Don't knock them because they are old. We all will be, one day.

2. Frankie Goes to Hollywood.

I admit that "Relax" was one of my favorite songs to dance to while in college. Past that, I couldn't tell you anything about them.

3. Wham.

If you deny that you liked them when "Wake me up" (or whatever its called) originally came on the radio, then you are a big fat liar. You may hate them now because of their gayness, but the song was peppy and fun and you know you liked it back then.

4. Right Said Fred.

Wrong said LG.

5. Lawrence Welk.

Nah, even that's too old for me. Now, go back to Dorsey or Miller or some of the big band sounds of the 40's, I'm in.

CSpin

Air Supply
Color Me Badd
Hanson
Rick Astley
The Wiggles

The Wiggles is right on the money. When you have a 5 year old, 1 year old and newborn, The Wiggles tend to take over the CD player and DVD player in my house. If it weren't for TiVO and mp3's I'd never see or hear anything I like for another 18 years.
