Question to the fan base

This is what was said about Dooley. It got us Sunseri. Butch got us DeBored and another Sunseri. Debord looks successful, but Dobbs and Kamara, Jennings etc are play makers. Our offense is successful on them making plays. Not scheme and play calling. Bama and basically every game this year has proved he can't call a game.

As with Dooley, it'll only get worse. But like it or not, we've got Butch another 2-3 years at least. By then, we'll be right back to where we was 3 years ago. Rebuilding, buying coaches time to get his guys in, needing wins for recruiting to pick up.

Yep!! I do believe we are at the point that those afore mentioned teams are about where we fall in the middle of at this point. I have give Jones every benefit of the double from the brick by brick bull until we will never win the stats excuse. I think that we are for sure stuck with him for next year ( and if he has not changed more than 1 or 2 coaches including a CO or 2) that Mr. Blackburn( praying) will make a change. Jones is a hard headed my way or highway guy and he just about is obnoxious as the famous Jerry Green from BB Vols. Mid level coach, little better recruiter and world famous BULL SH****R.:machgun::machgun:

Relax, boys. This is an exercise in futility until the chancellor and the AD are hired. Unless he resigns Butch isn't going anywhere after this year. Just go to bed and sleep it off.

For the record the turnover fest at A&M is what really cost UT the SEC East this year.

Yeah, let's fire him after all he's done to right the ship. It's way to early to be talking that crap.
SC was the only real debacle of the year, and I think that was driven by player issues. We didn't play as well in some cases as we should but We showed some great resolve to win a number of games. He isn't perfect but he's pulled us from the dungeon. Some of yo guys don't have a clue-- firing a coach sets the program back at least 2 years, and that's if we make a good hire. Let's see where we are in a couple of years.

Just curious, besides Alabama, which SEC team would you like for TN to be like? We are so bad but who is better?

I would take LSU, Auburn, Arkansas or Georgia over Tennessee right now. All 4 of those teams are showing signs of getting better. Tennessee even before all the injuries didn't look like they were progressing. The last 3 weeks have been a joke. I wouldn't be surprised if Vandy beats Tennessee next week.

63-37. Why don't you let the game play out before you start whining.

Your happy with that performance????? Your crazy. Our defense sucks. And only because Missouri is a dumpster fire we we able to outscore them. If either KY or MO had a defense we would have lost.

When you look around the SEC. At what point has the standards at Tennessee dropped below that of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Arkansas and the new kid Texas A&M? And by standard. Any of those schools struggle and they do what is needed to correct it. Example Les Miles out mid season. But so many on this board except mediocrity. Jones will never win a title at Tennessee if he can't win the East when it's down this bad and we have this much talent. And yes I know. Injuries Injuries Injuries. But look at our offense. It doesn't scare anyone. Mainly because we haven't had an offensive line in years. Is that on coaching? Of course. Jones has to make changes or he only gets one more year. Recruiting has to pick up. 3 stars will not win in the SEC if you can't coach them up. I personally wished we had not hired Jones. But at this point I'm not sold he can get us over the top. But he has stabilized the team.

Where have you been the last 10 years? How are you basing your expectations given the results in recent history? I think you actually have more explaining to do than those of us who understand the state of our program.

Firing him this year is dumb, but if he doesnt win the conference next season or at least destroy a terrible division, he needs to go.

no way they can fire him and allow Dave Hart to hire a football coach on his way out the door. not possible.

there will be staff changes. if the over / under is 3.5 I'm taking the over for staff changes

The whole quote is geared towards the fans who think this year is acceptable. All the injuries something is going on in training or something. No one else has this many injuries. But forget the injuries. Why does all our backups look like their playing high school ball for the first time? There is no development because Butch is to loyal to the starters. We should be going to Atlanta clearly. But we just aren't a championship team. And with all we are losing we take a step back next year. Recruiting is Vanderbilt level. Butch will never win the east.

As far as the injuries, I have maintained all year we need new S&C coach. But if you change HC every four years then your just setting the program farther back. I read a lot of iffing in this thread. If you don't lose you win, period. Some talk about this year being acceptable also. Considering where we have been, yes its acceptable. 9-3 when we beat Vandy, yeah that's acceptable. But it has to improve every year. So far Butch has improved every year. Is this program bama, no, but who wants to be bama. If that's what you want, then join their bandwagon.

This year should have been "the year" Tennessee went to the seccg.. But with injures, bad coaching, locker room scratch fighting due to hurt feelings, amongst other issues such as the voodoo curse amongst us kinda glad we aren't worse than we are now. We need help in depth.. Again. So.. 2017 should be a better year.. A new qb.. 2 ter. Dc.. Mb a new of.. Amongst other changes.

Most people find the guy behind center as the next coming. I like Dobbs. But I'm excited to see the next guy and see what he has. Dormady or not. Next year may be better without all the expectations.
