My pair is just fine. I want to hire a winner. If you're scared of some tweets, which he directs at everyone, then perhaps you should heed your own advice. I deal in business, and I like to win, nothing should be personal in either of those regards. Do what it takes to win, not what soothes your wounded ego.

We talk a lot about the job he did with Crompton, but often forget what he had to do with that trainwreck offensive line.

What would Fulmer, Dooley or Butch have done with that same team in 2009?

Couldn't agree more. He designs his plays to work to his players strengths. Something we have lacked in a coach since Cut and maybe Chaney.

He dismissed those players. Is he supposed to carry their hands the whole time they are there? Are coaches supposed to mind read who will do something stupid?

The thing I don't get is before Friday a lot of people on here were more than willing to let bygones be bygones as evidenced by the all the bring Kiffin to Tennessee polls that were conducted. Now that Fulmer is back as the AD, most people are back to bad mouthing him again.

Kiffin wouldn't be my first, second or even third choice, but after that, I would definitely consider him for the position, but that's jmo.

How did he do it? USC went through 4-5 other candidates before getting to him. Hamilton left that door open in his buyout. Kiffin, against the wishes of the athletic department, chose to speak to the media after the decision... he didn't try to run away and hide.

I'm not sure how he could have better handled a difficult situation like that.

Kiffin not on Fulmers list per doug Mathews this morning. Doug called Kiffin a punk as spittle hit his mic. Really hates Kiffin.

I guess a better choice of words would have been when he did it. I never said that Kiffin ran away and hid and I said that I didn't blame him for taking the job at SC, but the timing absolutely sucked for Tennessee.


I know SC had to move fast to replace Carroll after he left for the Seahawks, but if I remember correctly it was only two or three weeks before signing day and that left Hamilton a very short window in which to find another coach and try to save a recruiting class.

You mean "Ego" Kiffin? Didn't Knoxville name their waste treatment plant "Kiffin Crap Processor" or something like that. Don't give him the opportunity to leave you at the alter twice.

Raiders, USC, left on tarmac, recruiting violations, gas station robberies, whored out our hostesses.

Couldn't top 7-6 at UT with an incredible staff.

It's called character. But I wouldn't expect someone like Lane Kiffin to know anything about that.
