Question for pro Kiffin members

How many have considered how we would look if Kiffin turned it down? Do you think he would do it quietly and respectively?

You know I'm sitting watching Florida Atl and Lane Kiffin's offense playing for the C-USA championship. Watching his offense and play calling is like poetry in motion. His designed play is so pretty to watch. It definitely has his signature on those plays. Whether you hate or love him this man is probably one of the best, if not the best, offensive head coach anywhere. This list of names flowing around is not on the same level of Lane Kiffin. And the sad part is Fulmer and UT will not drop their pride to even talk to him. Do not worry about Lane because we may see him again on Florida State, Arkansas or Auburn sidelines as head coach. TN will be watching him playing for National Championships while we will be playing for a Peach Bowl if we even get that far. In the first 19 minutes of the game, Lane had 348 yards rushing and passing and a 20-0 score. He won 41-17. But I know this means nothing to UT and their program. They rather hire Tee Martin or some other ragtime coach which tells me Fulmer isn't really serious about being competitive. Remember, we may have to face him somewhere down the road. That will include facing Saban, Smart, Mullen and Jimbo Fisher. No one I have heard being considered, all good coaches, but not great splashes, would beat Jimbo Fisher, Mullen, Saban or Smart on any regular bases. Will TN ever win the East? It would be a long, long, long, long time.

Jesus Christ ...... Eric Berry worst year of his career was under the Kiffin’s ..... They played him at the line of scrimmage constantly instead of letting sit back and make plays on the ball.

Kid was a lock for NCAA INT return yards in a career before Kiffin.

Actually he technically is the career leader. Pesky refs screwed him out of an INT vs Georgia.

Okay now you’re crazy. Reason Berry went top 5, which had never been done before with a safety, was because under Kiffin, he played a hybrid Linebacker/Safety. It’s what the Chiefs were raving about.

Berry was likely too 15, but wasn’t a top 5 draft pick until Kiffin showed up.

Wow!! Are you related to Kiffin or something?

Have not read any post past the first.

He WOULD be here in a SECOND! 90% of his tweets are about UT. He is doing everything possible to get our idiot decision makers to give him a look. He even said he would listen a couple of weeks ago. Regardless of what has been said since, that hasn’t changed. He is just trying to not put himself too far out for fear of looking too foolish if we should not contact him. Sexton already let us know he is interested.

Unfortunately no chance he gets a call due to a bunch of
butthurt old donors who are too prideful to make a good decision.

We were on probation for 2+ years and had a number of official visits stripped away bc of what he did during his time here.

Go back and look it up. There is plenty out there on what he did while at Tennessee.

So basically nothing.

Fulmer knows that our best chance of beating Alabama, Georgia, and Florida would be by hiring Lane Kiffin, but Phil won't do it. That is not loving Tennessee. That is just plain, old fashioned, mule headed stubborn, that causes us to lose.

I'm not sure why I'm arguing with you guys. It's not going to happen. I'm glad it's not going to happen. There are several coaches that make more sense, and that would actually fit at Tennessee.

At this point it wouldn't matter imo. Who cares about that. We just need to get the best coach we can, end of story.

The negative stories would be worse if we hired him. And since he has an ego the size of Canada, it would be satisfying seeing him and UT “comeback from the Ashes” making the media look like a bunch of donkeys.

Sadly, we have no one in our Administration (CPF included) who can go toe to toe with LK either in the media or on the field today. Kiffy no doubt had agent reach out and was told to piss up a rope most likely, Seeing the Fulmer crowd re-assert he has most likely simply moved on.

There are MANY MANY MANY people who have said privately, however, that Kiffin would friggen walk back to Ktown if they would actually offer it to him. Thats not because he cant get another job. Its because he understands the value here. We are both a bit wounded right now but would be great together. Its not going to happen tho.

Fulmer will go with a "safer" hire. No doubt CPF loves UT and will do the absolute best he can by us - but that doesnt mean that he cant simply be wrong.

Kiffin will have a new job shortly with another major university and TN loses out again because of ignorance.

I spewed the Kiffin hype for a couple days. Coach fulmer has bigger and better fish on the hook.

I have no idea what the hell I was thinking. Going to blame that Sh!t on Currie. Excuse my ignorance.

Yeah, then why can't anyone name who they are? Who's better that's available now? Cat got your tongue?

The guy was fired from 2 jobs for poor coaching and sent home before the NC game for being an A$$. Makes him a double loser in my book.

Well, that loser just took a 3-9 team and made them a 10-3 team in his first year & win a conference championship. Oh, you weren't up on that?

Because Fulmer would rather destroy the program "he loves so much" than to let go of his petty revenge on Kiffin.

Fulmer loves Fulmer. The mere idea of a younger, more innovative HC chaps his butt.

Fulmer has always even terrible at hiring coaches. Johnny Majors had a coaching tree, Fulmer doesn't even have a stump.
