What has Kiffin done for you to believe he's some football god that can compete with Saban and the rest of the SEC?

Well, he’s proven he can recruit in the SEC as of late.

He’s proven he can develop talent. And develop quickly.

Last, he took Bama in Bryant Denny down to the wire against the #1 team with two walk ons on the offensive line, a head case of a QB, and lost on a blocked field goal.

The fact you don’t remember that is really sad. It was truly the last time TN football was exciting.

At the end of the day, the East has reloaded with Mullen at UF and Muschamp and Smart at USC and UGA.

Kiffin is one of the smartest X and O’s coach in the game right now.

If Fulmer can admit the game has changed since he was a coach, then it makes zero sense to not interview Kiffin at the minimum.

I remember it well, i also remember him losing 42-17 to Ole Miss and Houston Nutt. That just screams "champion".

The only fond memory i have of that POS here was the Georgia game. Still don't want him back.

Yeah right after the Bama loss. You clearly have never played football or any organized team ball if you think week to week results don’t play into morale.

Come on man. Kiffin almost beat 7-6 UCLA and a crappy Auburn with 1st year Gene Chizik coaching, BOTH AT HOME. He's a god.

A football god like the almighty Kiffin should have coached them boys up better then. At the end of the day it's all on the coaches, right?

What dont you understand? Its not about where he is coaching at or if he's a good coach or not. He will not be interviewed, offered, even thought of because of how he left us in 2010.

Yeah I understand that, it’s a stupid, petty and childish attitude but I understand people are still butthurt.

Les is definitely better for the short term (next 4 years). But Miles was definitely trending downward fast.

Miles is 63-64 years old, I really don’t want to go through another search in 4-5 years.

Shall we recount how many times CPF teams were blown out?

I don’t think we would look any worse than we do right now by ignoring him as a candidate and refusing to even have a conversation with him. Particularly when it looks like the only reason we won’t interview him is because our feelings are still hurt. To think he is the same coach he is now that he was then is irrational. He has had different experiences since then. Certainly a sit down interview with him would be able to determine what he would do differently.

7-6 is proof?

Kiffin has averaged 8.5 wins per season as a college Head Coach. That’s better than the past 8 years we just dealt with.

His floor is Butch’s ceiling and he can clearly recruit and develop talent. Something Butch couldn’t do.

Also, people have yet to name another coach that would be a better hire than Kiffin. Just keep criticizing Kiffin instead of making a case for another coach.

That is the part that concerns me. Instead of Kiffin, they would rather settle for the likes of Les Miles or David Citcliffe.

Fulmer actually won something, beat Bama, beat Florida, even went undefeated. Kiffin went 7-6 and left in the middle of the night after 1 year.

His departure time of day doesn’t change the fact he did a good job considering the roster he walked into.
