I don't like any of you either but now that me and jar jar ninja star binks are friends I don't have to pretend.

Ya'll need to kiss my black azz.

Um, I didn't just violate one of the rules that aren't post, did I?

If I hadn't started about 11 threads in the last 3 days, I would put up an e-petition in the Endzone on my behalf with the goal of modding me. That would be a hit!
If you want to be as miserable as the rest of us, I'm all for it. You have my vote.

I've always wanted to take charge of the "troll" mod position. Which in my mind, is following LG, TXVOL, and others around harassing them at every turn.

Serious question from someone who has generally stayed on the good side of the moderators of this forum:

If you were to compare a list of people recently suspended or with multiple posts deleted with a list of solid posters who actually contribute insight and information as opposed to "VFL!!!!!!" or "Which opponent has the worst fight song?" fluff, how closely would the lists correlate?

Id also like to see this.

So if you contribute more to society in general, does that allow you to live above the law?

I paid a lot of taxes last year. I'm going to go kill a hobo tonight.

Does $9k in property tax entitle me to a farm family?

Conversely when a society starts to focus on the needs of the hobos and not on those who fund it, my proposition is it will go to crap.

i think the question is why the idiots are protected. unless you are trying to drive the best posters from this forum.

I'm not sure how to answer this question, but I'll try. Posters don't get suspended or have posts deleted from adding VFL! to a post. Posters don't get suspended or have posts deleted for contributing to the discussion. Posters may be suspended or have posts deleted for various reasons, including inappropriate material, name calling, going too far of topic, etc., etc. I suppose I need to re-post the basic rules. They have always a fixture in the past and I'm not sure why they are no longer prominently displayed anywhere.

I've looked back through the deleted posts and far more come from trolls and non-regular posters who may not be as familiar with our typical protocol. Looking through recent suspensions and perma-bans, 95% would be considered trolls, spammers, or people who obviously have no intention of contributing positively to the board. It can happen, but rarely does anyone get suspended without warning or for a single offense.

Put another way, posters normally have to work at it to get banned or suspended. It's a last line of defense typically reserved for repeat offenders.

We do the best we can, but I'm sure sometimes we get it wrong. As moderators, we make bad decisions, just as posters may.

My guideline on not allowing public discussions of mods stems from the fact that typically posters only want to address mods in a negative way since most good moderating goes unnoticed. It always seems senseless to me to allow the bashing of those who volunteer their time to help me out.

How are idiots protected? By being afforded the same rules as everyone else? If you have a specific example, PM me privately.

Freak, I responded to both you and Vader via PM, but it doesn't look like the one to you went through. I'll try to recreate it. I appreciate both of you trying to address my concerns, which probably would have been better voiced by PM in the first place.

I have not received a PM from you so please do send it again. Thank you. :hi:
