Bunch of five yard passes. Anything beyond that is a 50/50 ball at best. Garauntano-esque. Maybe it’s just the offense. I won’t be excited if it’s him.

They had to be quick 5 yard passes because his OL last year was total sh|t last year and especially bad vs Clemson. He has great accuracy going downfield when he has time, look at his highlights from 2023 and you will see.

You say the same think about Hooker? He will have better WRs and better OL here. This offense generates OPEN WRs! We just a need a QB that can make the throws.

I don't understand the criticism of Aguilar, but I also don't understand why his stats dropped off in 2024. In 2023 he had 3700 yards and 33 TDs to 10 Ints. That's an impressive stat line to me. 2024, not so much.

Nico screwed us. But if you bring someone in it has to be someone you want to start. Which is exactly what the two QBs will view it as.

What if it costs us Merk? You’re down to two QBs anyways and lost potentially a better QB.

If Aguilar is as bad as you think he is, what's the harm in brining him in? The other 2 on roster arent going to feel threatened if he's that bad. You have to have 3 scholarship QBs. We can't just roll with what we have.

I frickin' said already that I don’t even think it’s a great choice. I think it solidifies an 8-4 season. I’d much rather have a guy like Altmyer. I just don’t get why these people are acting like he's Trevor Siemian, and are so eager to tear him down. He has a lot of upside and anybody who thinks he’s a lost cause almost certainly said the same thing when we got Hooker-I believed he was gonna suck and hated the signing at the time. I was wrong.

I can’t answer this more clear like I have in two posts prior. The QB could leave this week before you have a chance at a QB competition. Then you are down to two QBs anyways. Nico screwed us big time but you don’t bring in someone unless you know for sure he is QB1 and live with the results.

Because he views himself as QB1 now and team is rallying around him right now.

Imagine the team supporting you and you finally get your moment and realize you are likely not going to get a shot?
