I’m sure he does, but he doesn’t come around here as much….I don’t think.

I want us to go after the JMU QB, Alonza Barnett. They got the UNLV QB from the portal because they thought Barnett’s injury was bad, but apparently he seems to be recovering okay.

I think he’s someone that would be pretty good here, depending on the injury.

Love this.

Definitely attainable. Wouldn't necessarily be handed the starting job. Would likely be grateful for the chance to compete here. He also probably would win it.

Thats the exact type of swing i would love to see us take if he's healthy.

Looking at what he did last year, it seems like he has some pretty good ability.

Would be a junior if I’m not mistaken, which would translate to Faizon quite nicely if Barnett did win the job.

He mentioned all the names we've heard from a dozen other sources. And he comes in here and marks them off one by one each time news/rumors break that it didn't work out for one reason or another.

I personally didn’t hear anything or read anything regarding Altmyer before he mentioned him…I could be wrong though.

I believe Peay posted it in the recruiting thread. Some tweet about someone predicting Altmyer to the Vols, said he also predicted Ament to the Vols….or something like that.

They only use 2 WRs 40% of the time. So only a slot.guy is going to play 50-60% of the time and that's "1st_ team.

Heupel and company are going to let these young guys play!

Smith are all young WRs that can play for any team.

Exactly and Jackson and Smith are top 150 guys and Matthews and Staley were as well. They are about to eat.

JMO - Altmyer is not good. Footwork is terrible and throws off platform way too much. He would get roasted in the SEC. Wasn’t very good against most decent teams last season. Would rather roll with Merk than Alt.

I don’t get the argument about 6 wins though. It doesn’t matter if we talk about it or not. That’s a very poor job for his tenure, resources, and our upcoming schedule.

Now do I think we only get 6? If we don’t pull the above pieces, then I think it’s a possibility for sure.

So, who would be the 6 losses on our schedule? Bama, Georgia, Florida? Then what? Syracuse? Oklahoma at home? Vandy at home? Arkansas at home? Kentucky and/or Mississippi State? Outside of an absolute doomsday scenario, I can’t find six plausible losses on this year’s schedule. We could see a bit of a drop off from last year and still win 8-9 games with our schedule.
