QB Justin Worley commitment

Sigh... I thought I would come on here and see some optimism finally yet it's the same ol same ol.

And yes, I would take Worley over Bray because if you have ever seen Worley play, you would know he is ready and will be a great college QB.

I can't wait until Pat Martin commits to see what the new excuse is as to why he is terrible.

One more thing what will you do when Smith, Randolph, and Posey get their 4th star by signing day? Will you still be fussing?

That's the rallying cry used every year whenever lower-rated players are signed, and the overwhelming majority of them do not usually end up being upgraded by the recruiting services to add a star.

Trust me, I know; if you think I'm one of the homers saying Dooley is an upgrade, you haven't been paying attention. Worley just seemed to me like one of those last-staff, underrated guys, but Hubbs obviously disagrees.

I can hear it now. He wouldnt have commited except for the fact that Kiffin drove by a store that Martins mom used to work at when she was 19. Some crap like that!

Bray's lack of offers was because he didn't go to many camps. SDSU was his only offer. Nance I believe went to many camps and begged Georgia for an offer but he wouldn't get it. Nance's lack of offers was because he isn't a great QB.

Follow me, here. The key to signing Rogers was offering Nance. Rogers wanted to go to UGA. Nance wanted to go to UGA. UGA was set at QB, with both Mettenberger and Murray. If UGA needed a backup QB for depth, they'd have gone ahead and offered Nance, cause he was a hometown boy who wanted to go to UGA. The fact that this wasn't the case is lucky for Dooley, because he could drop a scholly for Nance, thus enticing Rogers.
Thus, it's lucky for Dooley that UGA didn't offer Nance.

These are our coaches and are going to be for at least a few years and this is who they evaluated to be the best and they got him to commit to TN.

I don't believe that for a second. I do believe that he may have been the best QB that they felt they had any chance whatsoever to sign, but that's not exactly the same thing now, is it.

Yet your great college QB right here will be wallowing in his 3* mediocrity?

Tell that to Sam Bradford

I'll tell you something about Sam Bradford. He's going to be an NFL bust. He can't handle pressure. He got pressured in about 3 games during his entire NFL career, and he got killed in all of them. He will see tons of pressure in the NFL.

If they thought Nance was even an average Qb they would have offered him as soon as UT did but I understand what you're saying.

I'm so sorry that I can name 10 QB failures for every 3* #1 draft pick you throw my way.

Very true. Didnt say you couldnt. I do know this though, had this been a Kiifin commitment, you and several on here would be saying how great he was going to be. Thats the problem with all the plungers here.

Why ya'll bringin' up old sh*t? LOL

Welcome aboard Mr. Worley. Best of luck to you fella! GBO or GO HOME!

This is a good pickup for Tennessee. Worley is never going to blow people away with supreme physical gifts, but I love his overall package as a QB. As he gets bigger, stronger, and hopefully gets his technical issues worked out, he will have a chance to be a pretty good QB. The good news is he will have time at UT with Bray already in the fold and likely to emerge as the starter at some point this season. Give Worley a RS and there will be good separation between the two.

Surely you understand that because Bradford and McCoy were 3* studs that Worley is also a stud because he is 3*, right?

If not, you must be one of Kiffin's girlfriends and, by definition, a hater.

jerry rice ran a 4.7 40 too. that's why cal coaches recruit guys who are slow. it isn't because they couldn't sign anyone better.
