QB Justin Worley commitment

Dunno about that...Why would everyone be creaming over bringing in a backup to Bray?

No question Bray at this point, but if Worley turns out to be nothing more than a solid backup, we are still better off than what we have now (because I don't think Simms is the answer) and especially better than where we were last year with Nick as the backup.

Going into the recruiting season he was our coaching staffs #1 target on their QB board...he just committed, can't we all just agree...for once, that this is a good thing?

These are our coaches and are going to be for at least a few years and this is who they evaluated to be the best and they got him to commit to TN. Let's just focus on the here and now.

Da'Rick and Rajion were not coming here under Kiffin. Not exactly luck.

Da'Rick wasn't coming here without Orgeron getting he and Nance to visit either. And yes Rajion would have been a Vol if the staff had wanted him instead of Rajaan Bennett. Now, please explain how Bray was luck...

Implying that they would think they "looked cool" and would get joy out of saying, "I told you so," comes off as saying they want him to fail so they can do these things.

Wrong again.

Since you whiffed on the express language in the initial post, you are now going to read implications into it, in an apparent attempt to justify your whiff.

I stand by my earlier posts and this concludes this discussion.

i already have. Dooley would've gotten both to visit regardless of what Orgeron did and Neal wasn't offered by the old staff.

this is in response to volwarrior.

Why would anyone want Dooley to fail? It's possible to want something to happen and realize there's an extremely small chance of it happening. That's the case with Dooley.

Any facts to back this up or are you just making this up? The facts are Da'Rick scheduled his visit to Tennessee because Orgeron convinced him to visit while he was at the Nance home. What other than your faith in Dooley makes you believe he could have gotten Rogers to campus?

And FTR, I think this is a great one. Worley shouldn't and probably won't finish as a 3-star.

That's the rallying cry used every year whenever lower-rated players are signed, and the overwhelming majority of them do not usually end up being upgraded by the recruiting services to add a star.

Us signing Rogers had everything to do with us taking Nance.

A lot of people think Nance just isn't a good QB. This also is not the same thing as Bray.

I agree. I was arguing the luck thing. Had Richt simply offered Nance, Rogers would have been off limits from the very beginning.

We need depth at every position guys. Taking the commits early is setting the foundation. We are in on plenty of good players but, we've got to build a team. Big names are coming. I really believe that. Signing day is 7 months away. Give him a chance.

What pleases you more, Bray or Worley?
Neither pleases me more. I'm glad to have both of them on board. I could care less if one is Kiffin's recruit and one is CDD's. The fact is, they are on the team that I cheer for and I will support them instead of bad mouthing them because he didn't have enough *s next to his name.

GBO!!

What a novel idea.

Bray's lack of offers was because he didn't go to many camps. SDSU was his only offer. Nance I believe went to many camps and begged Georgia for an offer but he wouldn't get it. Nance's lack of offers was because he isn't a great QB.
