I was as disappointed as anybody after the loss. It felt like we were as bad the 2nd half as we were good the 1st.

Last night I watched the 2nd half again. It wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered (memory was a bit foggy). We moved the ball really well in the 3rd quarter. We had great field position and actually moved the ball well...it was a continuation of the 1st half, except we shot ourselves in the foot a couple of times and didn't come away with points. That's what young teams do, right?

The 4th quarter was a bit tougher to watch (knowing what was coming) but other than a couple of drops and ill timed penalties (again isn't that what a young team does?), Oklahoma (mainly Mayfield) made a handful of great plays that beat us. Again, what happens to young teams, right?

My point is the loss was disappointing and yes, we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory...but our talent is much better and will turn games like this into W's with some experience.

No need to go jumping off buildings and bridges just yet, boys...

GBO!

I had more issues with clock management that playcalling. The reality is UT is great is there are.no blitzes. When its a blitzfest like DeBord ssays and you're having a hard time blocking, there's not many things you can do. I'm not as ill now as Saturday, as I see it is what it is and hope they make a turn around.like the D did.

Should we wait until after Florida, to start jumping or just go ahead and jump?

So you're saying we're young, Butch? That's interesting........ you were saying that 3 years ago.

Max is right and you are wrong, sir. Year one of Butch's tenure provided him with basically none of his recruits, his first class is now sophs and rs freshmen, and now we're playing quite a few from the class of '15. Lots of teenagers in there. Therefore, team 119 is very young 'nooga, as are you, imho.

Wait so in 2013, when he constantly repeated how young we are, we weren't actually young, just playing with guys he didn't recruit?

It's an excuse, and it's been his excuse every year he's been here.

We're not young, the stats have been posted on this board several times disproving the "young" theory.

I still get sick to the point of having to hold back vomit when I think about the OU game. As much as I want to find excuses the truth is that was a truly horrendous loss and was completely inexcusable. Does that mean the rest of the season is done? Absolutely not. But a loss to UF will be a nail in the coffin. I really hope we can look back on this and see it as the wake up call for the team and not the beginning of a downward spiral.

Actually, not. So.....

Look up youngest teams in college football 2015. Georgia is there... amazing that they're ranked so high.. how's that possible with all that youth? ?

They may not have gone through an entire class with no OL recruits -- who would do such an idiotic thing ?

Did Butch and yourself take the same football 101 class?

Not sure why you feel the need to insult Other Guy (I assume that was meant to be an insult). He's right.

There were a few key calls by coaches that could've swung the entire game ... there were key plays by various players that could've flipped the game in our favor ... and the opportunities to have made that ONE more key play were spread among dozens of members of Team 119, coaches and players both. It was a team loss.

You use "101" as if Other Guy's perspective is the simplistic one ... but if you're trying to blame the loss on just one person, I would contend that yours is the simplistic perspective, the one missing a whole lot of keys to the game.

Starting to feel sick about this season with the Maggitt loss and now the news O'Brien may be gone.
