Public Service Announcement--Dooley

Huh? I guess people who work hard and make mistakes are just jerks and should just go screw themselves. Brilliant.

What? Where did I say that? All I said and stand by it, is why thank him for failing. He should thank UT for the awesome opportunity he was given. Period.

People who get fired typically don't get thanked.

The man is a lawyer. He will act on his own behalf in that capacity.

An excellent point on multiple levels.

He had the foresight to negotiate a buyout befitting a veteran accomplished coach, and a harried Hamilton crossed his fingers, ok'd the deal, and hoped CDD would indeed become a veteran accomplished coach.

Hell, from Hamilton's perspective the buyout didn't mean squat because if Dooley tanked then Ham would be on the outs too. The key thing for 'Radar Mike' Hamilton was that he'd already worked out his own sweet parachute, which he got to deploy after the Pearl affair.

Thank you for the post. I am the camp that it would have taken anyone at least these 3 years to get us back to competitiveness. We are 6 4th qtr turnovers from being 6-2 rather than 3-5. Unfortunate. When we look at this year, our offense, despite the TO's, has put enough on the board to win in this league and with just an average defense we would be 6-2 or 7-1. The one thing I see missing beyond the coaching is how to win. It takes an unwavering belief that the team will come back to pull out a game. It seems we have hope, but little confidence. The TO's against UGA, MSU and USC point to that in my opinion. In the late 80's and 90's if we were down 7 in the 4th qtr or need to run out the clock, you knew it was over. Those teams proved it over and over. Same as 3rd and 2. We were going to run it and you could try to stop us but we were successful more than not. We have more talent and when these kids first feel that accomplishment we will be there. Remember how we dominated UGA until the Hob Nail Boot game? They have done pretty well since. I hate to sound like a Cubs fan, but we will be better next year. JMO

We will be better because we're gonna have a new coaching staff.
