This is bs, Sony needs to get their **** together. I don't use PSN a lot but wanting to play SOCOM and now it's not possible online, thanks.

No doubt. I mean how long does it take. Surely Sony has hundreds of technicians, if not more, working for them.

Just call the hackers. I bet they could get it back up in running in a day.

this honestly is why, having both systems, i prefer the 360. basically both are computers, you have one built by a company that primarilly deal in computers vs a company that deals in everything electronic. i know psn has it's own set of techs but i would think microsoft has a lot more techs and nerds at it's disposal to develop products and fix issues when they have them

They do, but they will never be able to defeat the pirates. Whenever they come out with a security fix or some sort of new anti piracy measure, they get smacked in the face with something from scene that defeats it. It is a neverending battle, but in this case with PSN, pirates hacked the system and hurt the community they are supposed to be helping. Sony really doesnt give a rats arse compared to the user who this hack has ultimitely hurt. Say what you like about piracy, but most of the time their target is the companies and not the user. In other words, this group Anonymous is the worst type of pirate group and I hope they get what they deserve.

If most of your friends are PSers, then I dont know why you would unless you are specifically wanting to play an xbox exclusive. Having both systems is nice, but honestly I would be completely content only owning one.

I would also try to find one used Mania. Mason has a guy who sells them on Ebay. I bought one from him and am very happy with it. This guys does the reflow and fixes them to a better status than a new one from M$

honestly, unless you are going to switch over completely, i would just stick it out. waste of money otherwise...

well considering PSN is down indefinately that means that you're looking at probably a month at least. FML. online gaming is like crack to me, sad to say

I doubt Sony will let it stay down that long. Im thinking another week or so but that is just a guess.

They said indefinately because they cant give us a definate date. They know they are pissing alot of people off by being down and they want it fixed just as much as we do. IMO.
