Ps4

My system crashed a half hour after we started messing around on it.

Took a few minutes to get it back up. Took 2 tries at the system check from abnormal shutdown to get going.

After that, it's been running well without a problem. Probably 3 straight hours and no problems. Hopefully it was just a strange glitch.

Killzone is sort of pissing me off. I've had a few spots so far where I had no idea where to go and waste 20 minutes finding the next section.

You need the disc regardless.

Is it just the Xbox that's now offering straight digital downloads? I saw some version of COD at Wal-Mart that had both the 360 and One versions but said it didn't contain a disc because it was just a download code, and just assumed that PS4 would be the same. Either way, the only way to get faster than 6 meg internet in my neighborhood is to get Comcast, and there's literally zero chance that's happening, so I'll be sticking to discs for the time being if the game downloads are now upwards of 40GB. Hopefully AT&T is going to add U-Verse here soon, because I get about 5 things a week about it in the mail from them. Till then, I'm stuck with their DSL.

I should clarify, to upgrade battlefield from ps3 to ps4 for $10 you'll still need the ps3 disc.

I'm not a fan of digital copies myself, they sure don't give you a break on them

Downloaded bf4, to the ps4 and took 5 hours. After that was complete I put my disc in all ready to play, get to the main menu and it says installing... So i wait up for another hour and it barely moves. Left my ps on and the game has been installing since 2 am and still is only at 89 percent.

Ive heard killzone online is pretty legit. Im bout to trade in madden and ac4 for it. Couldnt get into ac4 like i did the previous ones.

Heres what im not understanding. The game is downloaded and installed, yet under my system storage it shows it still downloading?

So this whole not needing an actual disc sounds really cool right up to the point that you have to download the game if you don't have ridiculously fast internet. You're only two days away from getting to play. How big is the download?

Welcome to the future!! I downloaded BF4 for the PC, 25 gigs, took 2 hours. I have the fastest internet you can buy from Time Warner..Doing it via wireless on a console box is going to be a nightmare.

I actually like the idea, but before it really makes things easier for me there's going to have to be some faster internet available in my neck of the woods. Like I said, based on the volume of U-Verse mail I've been getting recently, I have high hopes that's coming my way soon.
